Very often i have seen people saying Google is God...google is everything...how can we work without Google.For particularly those people who cant live without GOOGLING, i would say that Google didnt make us rather we humans made Google.Infact everything in this world from humans to animals to google is mortal.Each and every particle is this universe has an end today or tomorrow.
People join communities saying Google is God,Google is my religion,Google aarti,blah blah
This is just in mind.infact today Google is so big because of us.Subconciously we keep on giving energy to something which is not more than a tool.Yes it affects our day to day activity but surely not our lives.I am also a big fan of Google,I was also the part of such communities but lately i have realized that its just in mind and giving so much energy to it would bring me nothing.
Often we give energies to these entities like Google, Coca Cola and make them rule our world. And it is us who are the rulers instead. This is difficult for most people to comprehend, but anyone has read some sort of magic books would agree with me.

Your profile is quite resembling to me and my thoughts. Today i am just exploring the blog related to web2.0 and drop by at this post... I agree that it is created by humans but now it is holding people around world. But I certainly disagree with you post and google has potential to compare with God..Here is my explanation...
In the Earlier days If some one get s a doubt or any question related to some subject then they used to go associated teacher or guru to clarify. Many time we may find right people to answer our questions perfectly.even some times we may not find people to get it clarified(like adultary questions or something). People were completely clueless of some information whom to find out or how to clarify it...Then google comes into picture and keep answering or paying way to clarify the questions.
According indian culture and indian values people treat teachers as Gods(guru brahma,guru vishnu..guru devo..). Now google Took over that place and lead peoples life easier and clear...So my conclusion is people may clueless without google hence they worship it.
